To scope to be, or not to scope or be

Thought that I would get your attention w/ that topic. Really what I have scoped are 7.65x53 Argentine/Belgin Mauser, 7.62x39 SKS and N-E-F Handi rifle. I have got one left w/ metallic sights which is the Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R. I am leaning to put peep sights on this gun. These are made and sold under the name Mojo Sightings. Really look neat looking down the sight line. Has both windage & elevation in the rear sight.
What would you do?

  Goat;
  To scope or not is purely a personal decision. If you like "peep"
  sights, You might consider a verneer or simular type. I recently completed a conversion on an old Henry/Martini. It was rebarreled from 450-577 to 45-110 smokless. I fitted it with a hooded front ramp w/ gold bead and a Verneer Tang mount rear. What ever your dicision, have fun. P.S. This rifle could be converted to smokless powder solely because it was a late production hardened and nitro proofed reciever, NEVER try this with any gun proofed for black powder.

  Cowboyace ...you do know that the Nagant iron sights are NOT graduated in yards or meters right? It's graduated in "arsins" a Slavic length of measurement near a yard! Just thought I'd confuse the issue! *G* Good Luck!!! ...Mark

  In all of my readings, I had not found that little tidbit of info. That will make differences when looking down that long barrel into a long distance.
