Does anyone know what size batteries this scope takes??

  It may take a PC1A which may be discontinued. To get more info do a search on aimpoint 2000 which should give you the info you are looking for.

  As usual, thanks for the help. I was doing a search and found an alternative battery to use, I found that instead of using 2 PC1A batteries I can use 1 3V lithium battery 16.9X34mm
