I have a Taurus PT-92, I have nothing but good things to say about it. It has never jammed, never misfed rounds, never broken despite being droped, slammed, tossed in the sand a time or two (I carried it for a while as my duty pistol) I gave it hell and it always worked. It'll take beretta mags (mine did) but you had to hold the clip ejector button down a bit to get the clip in but I had about a dozen beretta mags laying around for my beretta 92 so I figured, why bother spending more money on mags. 0 -
I agree with Rldowns3. I have had a stainless PT-92 for about 8 years now and have never had any trouble. You can still find high cap mags for a decent price too. 0 -
The Hammer also has the 92 and the gun is so well made I ordered the 22 covn kit and got two clips boy what a shooter you will like this gun and you might think about the covn kit too it also shoots just like the 9mm but a lot less recoil they are both fun to shoot BiggerHammer [B)] 0 -
The Taurus factory in Brazil used to be the Beretta factory untill Brazil took it over. For the most part they make very good weapons. Like some Mfg. they do have problem runs. Do your home work. I would say 85% of the time you will get a great fire arm from the PT-92 line of weapons. Plus I like the cock and lock capability of the PT-92. My 2 cents [8D]

I have a model 92 I bought used in '88 I think it was. I've shot thousands of new and reloads, never had a jam. Just so-so accro, but most 9mms are that way. A little heavy, but robust as hell. You'll never go wrong with one of these.

I got a blued one for my wife to qualify for CCL.
It shoots dead bulls eye at about 5 yds with a rest.
Been a great shooter and would highly recommend.
It made a friend comment on how he had to buy adjustable
sights and do a lot of work to get his baretta to do
the same thing this one does out of the box.

I would spend the little extra money for the PT-99 with the adjustable sights.
