Bersa 380 Thunder

I am considering a Bersa 380 Thunder as my conceal carry weapon. I would appreciate any feedback about the quality/cost issue regarding this gun. Any time something is so inexpensive...I worry a bit about it. Reviews are good so that balances some of my concern, but I would love to hear what you guys have to say about this.

I like guns, anybody who doesn't like guns is an SOB. Do you like guns?

    Anyone out there have any experience with the Bersa 380 Thunder and what is your opinion. Have read some favorable reviews and for the price seems like a good buy. Will be using for targeting and traveling protection (if needed)!!! Thanks for your input.

    I briefly owned the a Thunder 9. Was very imressed with it but traded it on something else I found which I've since sold. The pistol was very accurate and out of the 500rds I put through it, I never had a jam. The gun seemed fairly ambidextrious which was nice since I'm a lefty.

    I think I traded it for a Mini 14 which lasted only long enough to visit a range. I think from trading that I finally got my Rock River.

    I think you would be happy with this gun for what it is. What price range are you looking at?

    drobs; I'm a lefty as well, and because it appears to be fairly ambidextrious friendly was one of the reasons for checking into this model. As far as price range goes, I am not looking for a high priced pistol as I have others that meet that need. Basically just looking for a low priced small caliber pistol that is reliable and meets that need.

    I have owned a Bersa model 85 which is a high capacity 380 for over 10 years and put many rounds through it. I really like the gun, it is reliable and fairly accurate. The only trouble I have had with it is the front sight came off. I recovered the sight and took to a gunsmith to put back on. For the money I would recommend this gun.

    Pems, the bersa thunder nine seemed much more ambidextrious than this gun. I think I would have trouble getting the safety on/off on the 380 variant.

    A range buddy of mine has one.Every time I shoot it I want to get one,it is on my to get list.It is very light,points naturaly for me and is accurate.He has put close to a thousand rounds through it without any trouble.I know all that was FMJ so I don't know about hollow points.CW

    My dad has a Thunder .380 and loves it. About 5 or so people that he knows or knows him through others have also purchased one, by hearing how good it shoots. I like others, have recently purchased one for under $200. Extra mags from Eagle Imports are $33 and they are just like the originals. There is also anatomical rubber grip that is available for it thtough them. Uncle Mikes size 15 Ambidextrous holster works great for it (don't get the recommended size 1 it is for the PPK). Firestorm also makes a .380 that is actually built on the same frame and has Bersa stamped on the slide. From shooting my Dad's I really like it. It is really light and fires good with FMJ as well as som Hollow points.

    I bought one several months back after reading several positive posts on them. In two words....LOVE IT! This is one case of an inexpensive gun, but not a cheap gun by any stretch. I bought the duotone model NIB for $227 tax included. My only complaint would be the hard plastic grips. Someone mentioned some rubber grips, I have yet to find any, but would snap some up in a minute. Mine eats anything I feed it, JHP included. BUY ONE! Heck, BUY TWO!

    Taxation WITH representation isn't so hot either!

    I have the 380 and it one of the finest shooting guns that I own shooting smiley faces at 10 yards. never any problem. and with the high capacity mag does really well.hope that if you chose one you have as much success as I have. 45

    just for the fact that i recently got one and love it look at the kel-tec p32 its smaller weighs less and brand new its about 239.00+tax or the p11 9mm it too is smaller and lighter they both shoot grate the price is the same p32 or p11 [:p]
