Recoil pad for a Franchi 48 AL
I picked up a Franchi 48 AL at a gun show over the weekend. It is in excellent condition, like new really.
It only has a hard butt-plate on it, though, with no recoil pad. I was thinking of buying a premium recoil pad, like a Kick-EEZ or Pachmayr Decelerator. Are either of these available custom-fit for the 48 AL? I don't imagine they are, so how hard is it to shape and install one of these pads to fit? I don't have a grinding wheel, but I'd be willing to buy a handheld belt sander if that is needed, because I could use it for other things.
