Some advice on pricing for a Citori.......
I'd really appreciate some advice on a browning citori ultra XS Sporting in 28 gauge as far as what a fair purchase price would be. The msrp is $2406, what should I pay for this gun and feel like I've gotten a good deal?

Yhe citori ultra xs is a high end shotgun. In 28 it seems to command a premium, aside from the recent interest from sporting clay shooters, I don't really understand why. The 28 gauge has been around
forever. I own superposed,101's and even a Grand American in 28. $2406, in todays market, does not seem out of line. Remember one can always offer less than the sticker price. The worst the seller can say is no. Make an offer in the $1900 to $2000 range, If they want to move it, they might well except it. Remember, there is a certain mark up on any item sold. You just have to find a price you and the dealer can live with. My grand dad called it the art of haggling.0 -

Python is right. Once a dealer knows you want to buy, but are looking for the best price you can get they will often tell you the bottom price they have to have to move the gun. spend a little time and visit, ask their price and then make your offer, they may say yes, they may say know, but usually they will tell you their minimum price. Good Luck! 0
