charter arms field king rifles

I am looking at a great price on this rifle in 308 stainless with a comp barrel. Any opinions of the quality of these? As always thanks for your replies.

  I had never heard of a Charter Arms rifle and checked the Blue Book. According to that, the only rifle Charter arms made was a .22. You might want to check with Mark Christian or Capt. Kirk about this one.

  Not in my books either......but

  I saw one at the range and it was shooting excellant groups.It was the only one I have seen.It was a 308.

  It is also made in the venerable .270 cal. I too believe it is a Charter Arms product. BTW, that is a ER Shaw comp barrel.

  If I remember right Gun Test magazine gave them a favorable review.

  If my wholesaler isn't out of stock, the Charter Arms Fieldking is still available in .308 and 30-06. The rifles are stainless steel, E.R. Shaw barrel, synthetic stock, adjustable trigger and comes with scope bases.
