Glock 20 mags in a Glock 29?
I have read that the full size Glock 20 mags (10mm) are not reliable in the Glock 29. I haven't experienced a problem with this at the range but would like to know if there is anything to this. I use my Glock 20 mags as a spare for my Glock 29. Am I making a mistake?

No problem as long as you do not give rearward pressure to the bottom of the magazine as you are shooting. If you do there is a chance that there is enough play because of the extra length that you will get failure to feed because of incorrect geometry to the feed ramp. The same goes with ANY full size mag in one of the minis.

They used to make sleeves (for lack of better terms) that slid over the larger magazines so it was more like part of the grip itself and also helped keep the magazine from canting. I haven't seen them in a long while, but then again I haven't been looking for them either. I have the model 20... Great gun, great caliber...
It doesn't matter what you shoot, just shoot it well...0 -
Thanks for the help!!! I hope that's all there is to it. Like I said, I've never experienced a problem....just read about it a few times. Bambihunter is right....Great gun, great caliber....I really like my Bar-Sto barrel in the model 20....really drills 'em !!! 0
