    If the barrel has a rib on the top. no you don't have to drill through. If not, unless you have a good milling machine, depth guages, and the proper taps, yes you will. Careful placement of the bead and deburring of the bore will made for a near original appearence, except of course, for the shorter barrel.

    ther is no rib and i do not have a mill or press so if i debur the inside i shuld be allright then! thanks[:p]

    Absolutely. If you drill slowly and carefully, deburring may not be nessesary. Deburring is easy, burrs can be knocked off with the edge of a flat screw driver blade and polished with crocus cloth on a wooden dowel.
