.410 O/U???
I was at a gun show today and I saw an O/U in .410. I had never seen one before and it was pretty neat. Had never heard of the maker. I wish I had written it down. Do any of the more reputable makers make their O/U's in .410? I see you can get .410 tubes to convert a 28 ga., but I've never heard of an actual .410 gun.

Yes, there are quite a few makers, from expensive makers like Parker Hale all the way down to cheap Chinese and Russian over-unders. Most makers offered their doubles in .410 at one point or other, but the demand has been minimal for both the .410 and also the 28 gauge.
They are really neat. I've always wanted to take a quality .410 (something like a Red-label or Citori) and have the upper barrel changed out for a .22 rifle. Yeah, I know they used to make the .22/.410 Savage (I have one), but they are too slow to change the barrel selection after firing...

An item easy to overlook is that the low end .410 o/u s are likely to be made on the 20 gauge frame. This puts a lot of extra iron in the breech and chamber area, plus its weight. I passed up the Baikal .410 for that reason and bought their 20 ga instead. Either way a nice gun for the money, with all the bells and whistles. Hope this helps. 0 -
I know Baikal makes a nice O/U in 410.
You can get interchangeable barrels for it, to change to 12 gauge or a combi-weapon with 12 gauge and a variety of rifelcalibers.
Baikal also makes an awsome 12 gauge pump.
I think of the MP-131 K pumpgun, with both box-magazine and tube-magazine.
You can change from box-fed to tube-fed with the flick of a lever.
And thereby choose birdshot or buchshot (change type of shells - quite fast)

It was nicer than a Baikal or some of the other lower priced but quality O/U's. But it was on a smaller frame (not a 20), that's why it caught my eye.

I can understand your facination of the 410 shotgun in O/U =o)
I once saw a 2?-3 foot long 410 shotgun, with little hammers and everything. It was like looking at a scaled down 12 gauge, I mean.. it was amazing.
It looked like an ordinary shotgun.... for a 10 year old. It was so fun to see =o)
Unfortunately it was too expencive for me at that time, but I recon it's still for sale.
It was sort of an eyecatcher for the huntingstore I frequent in Denmark =o)
But the 410 is a nice round for small birds, you will probably have lots of fun with it. =o) If you deside to get one.
Also been a fan of the 9mm smoothbore shotgun, the shotshells looks like rifleshells without the projectile.
That is mostly for fun though or plinking rats indoors =o) hehe.
