value on old winchester 30-30
Once again I need you guys help. I have a 30-30 from my grandfather and want to know its value and whether I should shoot it. It is a Winchester 94-30 WCF Probably from the 40's or 50's with a serial number of 1288117. It has no scratches dings or rust , overall it is in excellant shape. Also, I have a Stevens 12 ga. DBL. Barrell model 311 series H takes 2 3/4" or 3" shells with serial number E053386. If you can help me out with these values I would be much appreciated.

If it's in good shape I don't see why you can't shoot it. The older Model 94s bring more than the newer ones and I would not be surprised to see one sell for about $300 or even more.

Oh, the 311 was an economy shotgun if I remember right. Good gun but not worth a lot of money. I am guessing about $250 but I could be wrong.

There are no records available for any Winchester '94's built between 1942 and 1947, but 1942 ended with serial # 1221289 and 1948 ended with 1500000. I would assume that post-war production began sometime in '46, so your '94 would have been built in 1946 or 1947.
The Blue Book value:
80% = $300
90% = $325
95% = $350
Stevens 311:
80% = $140
90% = $150
95% = $1850 -
If your 94 has a flat barrel band it would be worth a ittle more. $450 up to $600 on the high end 0
