Rebored or Rebarreled?
Unless the barrel is somthing rare or unique, it's less expensive and quicker to have it rebarreled. The gunsmith that does the rebarrel can turn the barrel profile to match the origional if your worried about the stock fit.
Best and Fastest are not usualy found at the same shop, as the best are often backed up several months (3-9 months depending on the time of the year).
What do you have, and what are you making it into?
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
No it needs a rebore, it a 94 octagon.
thought It would be cheaper to rebore bigger than build new barrel.
has the right address on it already.0 -
94 octagon qualifies as worth reboring IMHO
Here are a couple smiths that do that kind of work.
Cliff LaBounty, LaBounty Precision Reboring and Rerifling in Maple Falls, Washington (highly recogmended)
Al Siegrest, Prescott, Michigan (one man operation, very well thought of localy, locals often speak of how he re-rifles barrels)
Those two should get you started.
