5.3mm Information

This refers to a previous post by A-37 concerning a Suhl Karibiner, Simson Co. I own the rifle. The barrel is marked "5.3mm" but a .22LR will chamber with no problem. 5.3mm = .208625; .22LR = .224. Can I assume the rifle has been rechambered? Does anyone have all the dimensions (brass dia, bullet dia, case length, etc.) for a 5.3mm cartridge? Are these cartridges available?

  Went through my cartridge stuff. Can't find anything referencing any sort of 5.3mm ammo?
  My only thought is that they are denoteing the land diameter of the rifleing rather then the groove diameter for some reason?
