Advice on the Taurus Mod. 94 .22

I am going to open my big mouth and probably get into trouble.
Bought one a month ago. With the stock main spring and trigger return spring and a small "biting" hammer it was bad bad bad.
Installed a set of the light Wolf springs from Brownells, made a
1/8" thick 1/2' X 1/2" steel peice steel, "dimpled" it with a center punch and rounded off a bit and epoxyed (J.B. Weld epoxy) on the
existing hammer. Did not smooth the action as yet, but what a difference it made. Right now, a 3.5 lb. single action pull, hammer
dont bite and a damn accurate little 5" barreled gun. Real pleased.
A few bucks and a couple of hours makes all the diference.
O.K., a target gun it maybe aint, but a cellar plinker it sure is,
and then some.

  I know exactly what you mean about the hammer and trigger pull. What springs did you put in it?

  Farmplinker: I purchased Brownells Wolf Spring kit which consisted of
  hammer (mainspring) spring which it comes with 2 different weight
  springs and used the lighter one, and a light trigger return spring.
  Brownells spring kit for this gun is #969-301-510. About $10.00
  for the kit. If you epoxy on a hammer "pad" dimple both sides as it
  will aid in holding the epoxy on better than if smooth. I think you
  will find a world of difference using these modifications.
  Note: To remove mainspring, remove grips, cock gun and there is a
  small hole (#58 drill size) in the end showing. Put in the shank of
  the drill and slowly let the hammer down. This will capture spring
  for removal. Do roughly the same thing for assembly.
