Difference between "gram" and "grain"

Anybody know the differnce between a gram in the metric and a "grain" as far as powder goes???

  Another way of looking at it, depending on what information Old Hickory is looking for is that one pound is equal to 453.592 (approx.) grams.
  
  One pound is 7000 grains.

  And for my $.50Cdn. (that's about 2 bits US) A gram is a measure of mass not weight. A grain is a measure of weight.

  Here is the conversion on my reloading scales 1oz= 28grams= 437.5grains. Using this one gram equals 15.625 grains

  Thanks for all the info guys!! I guess I won't be loading .32 ACP with 2"grams" of Bullseye since that would be like 30 grains!!!! I guess it wouldn't fit in the case and "when the case is full you better stop adding powder" lol Thanks again!!
