Trailside 22
In my long quest to decide which 22 pistol to buy, I pretty much decided to buy the Sig Trailside 22. My question is, should I buy the 4.75" barrell or the 6" barrell. Will the 6" be that much more accurate, or will I have to be shooting more than 50 yards to see a difference, even at that point how much different are we talking. Also, give me your opinions on the fixed sights or adjustable.
Thanks for your advice and time!

I think you'll be happier with the 6" past that I doubt it will really matter. A longer sight plane will always improve your accuracy and a little extra weight doesn't hurt either. Adjustable sights I think are a must on a .22 pistol. I have a little 622 S&W with adustable sights. From a rest I was able to easily sight it in. Now if only I could tighten my groups up.[;)]

Go for the six inch. I't will not drastically improve accuracy but it will improve it slightly. The trailslide comes with a 50meter test target so just go down to your dealer and ask to see both models. Compare both of thier test targets and go from there. Both groups are going to be very good. I only heard one problem with these trailsides, it was that sometimes they misfire on certian types of ammo. This was over a year ago but i'm not sure if they corrected this problem. 0 -

I've got a 6" version, and I would not change anything about the gun. Balance is perfect and its accuracy is far greater than mine. Logically then, I would suggest you opt for the 6" version, unless you want to carry it concealed [;)]
