Python Hunter ID

Other than asking Colt for a letter, how can I tell if my 8" Python is a hunter model or not. This one has a scope base that goes on the frame and replaces the rear sight; also has a Leupold 2x on it.

  Called Colt and the SN on the gun dates it to the time the Hunter was offered. According to the CS rep, Hunter Models say "Hunter" on the barrel; mine doesn't.

  Another way to check would be the scope. It would have a Colt medallion on it.
