Colt Lightning Med Frame Marking

I own a Colt Lightning Medium Frame 38.40 rifle, sn 13xxx.
On the left side of barrel is a marking : RU226, near the receiver.
Anyone knows the meaning ?

  Iam not sure what it means. It could be a marking of a private company. Mining companies, express companies and others used their own markings and numbers on rifles that they owned. I can tell you that it is not a Colt factory marking.
