Question about folding stocks?

I have a yugo sks with bayonet and grenade launcher. Its my understanding that you can have two assault rifle features and still be legal. If I removed the bayonet and put a folding stock on this gun would it still be legal?

    In order to do this you would have to locate a folding stock design which DOES NOT incorperate the use of a pistol grip. I have never seen an aftermarket folding stock for an SKS (or any other semiauto rifle) which does not have a pistol grip as a part of the assembly and I doubt that one exists. The Grenade launcher, folding stock and the resulting pistol grip puts you one evil feature over the limit. Do you have a folder in mind which has no seperate pistol grip in its design?

    no I already picked one up and it has the pistol; grip on it. I did buy the block that locks the folding stock though.

    If this is not a permanent fixed stock and you are caught with it, you can be arrested/convicted of a felony and lose all right to possess any firearm the rest of your life! Is it worth it...only you know!

    You would have to be able to PROVE that the stock was installed on the rifle prior to the 1994 ban taking effect. That is the ONLY way that it would be legal. Since you just purchased the stock, you are about 9yrs too late. I know it sucks, since all SKS rifles are essentially pre-ban, but the little fine print got slipped into the verbage of the law, and screwed us all on the SKS issue.

    If you can find an SKS that the owner has the receipt for both the rifle and the stock, prior to the law taking effect, you can buy it, (with both receipts) and keep it with a folding stock with no problems. But guess how much he will want for it if he understands the laws....[V]

    Now the fixed pin for those stocks is only like $3, and it takes 2 minutes to put it in, so you still have that stock, just without it folding.

    I'm a man,....but I can change,.....If I have to,......I guess.

    If you used a fixed pistol grip stock, you would have to remove the bayonet or the grenade launcher to be legal. Also you would have to keep the fixed magazine. If you removed the bayo and launcher, you could incorporate one more "evil feature" such as a detachable magazine.
