RCBS Uniflow Baffle?

    Matt45,
The baffle may help some with many powders, especially if you use a tall powder hopper. If you look at one in the catalog, you will see that it can be fabricated from a business card or cut up soda can. The shape is not dreadfully critical, and experimentation is cheap.
Six dollars seems a bit much for the commercial one.
Give it a try or two.
    Cheers from Grayest California,
    Ross

I made one for my RCBS measure out of a playing card. All it does is keep a consistant weight of powder on the drum rotor.

I am using a tall hopper- is there any way to describe how to cut/shape/fit a homemade baffle, at least enough so that I can attempt the same, I've looked through my catalogs and online and have not seen one.

The RCBS baffle is simply a thin washer that fits loosly in the hopper with a 3/4" hole in the middle.
They work, too. They hold most of the weight of the powder and meter the same weight of powder on the rotor, no matter how high the column of powder in the hopper.

Like I said on your other post on general discussion. You could achieve the same thing by putting a funnel in the top of your measure before filling it.

no need for a powder baffle just tap the handle un the upstroke two times for a consistent charge. By tapping the handle twice it completely fills the chamber with powder.

    It's All Crapola!!!
