what's my browning A 5 worth?????

What's my browning A 5 worth? It was ordered brand new in 1995, not sure if it's belgium or japan, don't have it here at the house with me, it's in my dad's safe. It is brand new and never fired, oh, and it's a 12 gauge 3" magnum, 100% in every way.

  Value depends on what area of the country you're in and the options on the gun. Assuming a plain A-5 with a vent rib... $650.00 would be a fair guess I think. More where they're well loved, less where the 20's and 16's are popular.

  Woody, I'd say Nord's number is pretty close to the market where I am. You didn't say so I'm guessing your A5 is the wood stock (hunter) model which is a 600.00-650.00 item here. I bought a barely used Japanese A5 Mag 12 stalker (composite stocks, flat black metal) model last year for 500.00 and felt like I got a modest bargain. Mostly I see the synthetic at 550.00-600.00 and the wood at 600.00-650.00, but frankly I don't see very many of either changing hands here much as south Louisiana duck hunters jumped on the steel-shot compatible and multi-choke tube Japanese guns.
