Well, we could use a lot more information here.

Is it break-top or swing-out cylinder?

    Hammer or hammerless?

    Type of finish....blued, nickle, etc.?

    Barrel length?

    Number of shots?

Give us ALL of the writings on the gun, as well as a description of any proof marks.

My Database says 'FAR' it the Trade name of "Soc.Anon.des Fab.d'Armes Reunies"...on Pistols....Late 1890's early 1900's....Database did'nt say Country of origin..... Not worth much...maybe $100.00 to a collector..

OK, more info. I no longer have the gun in front of me. It reminded me of a South American or Spanish knock-off of a S&W. Swing out cyl., 6 shot, external hammer, 5"-6" barrel. Was once blued (I think) but now is gray. Wooden grips, poorly checkered, small round butt. I recall the hand was on the right side and turned the cyl. in CCW direction. Other than the markings already mentioned, FAR and 38 long colt, I don't recall any. Thanks.

You're probably right about it being Spanish.....Your discription sounds like a Spanish revolver...
