Drum mag for 223

Also picked up a drum mag in 223.Drum is stamped FIREPOWER ASSAULT MAGAZINE 5.56 made by FIREPOWER INC. HANCOCK MAINE USA pat pending. It has like clear plastic back and like a lever or winder to help load it. Looks to hold about fifty rounds or more. Is any familiar with these? Do they work, and what are they worth.   These go back into the 1980's. Supposedly tested by the US Military, or at least that is what they advertised. I believe they were supposed to hold 75rds. I have one, but have never tried to load it or shoot with it, so I can't attest as to its reliability. I haven't seen them around in about a decade.
