Romainian Draganov
Does anybody have any information on these rifles? I was looking around and they caught my eye. Century Arms sells them, any info would be appreciated, accuracy, reliability, prices etc.

To start they aren't a true Draganov, only an Ak in 7.62x54. The Draganov is a whole differnt desgin. There are also some Norinco, chinese, draganovs both in 54 and 308 which are true draganovs but are about 2x's as much. I have shoot both, the china and Romainian, ones. Chinese had a better fit, and did shooter a little better. But I think they're both over priced. For the money there are a lot better guns out there. If your looking for a semi-auto 7.62x54, look at a svt-40 seen one at the gun show today for 350. 0 -
Personally I think they look really cool. They look almost like a real dragunov, though they don't have the same short stroke gas system that a real dragunov has. In fact they seem more like a zastava 76, or a big AK, not a true dragunov.
The chinese sure seem to make some awfully crude reverse engineered copy's of real guns. Personally I'd rather have a real soviet mfg than a chinese knock off.
There was an article in shotguns news some time back about the dragunov and some of its clones. It disprooved some myths about the dragunovs lack in accuracy to the fact that it was designed for use with a special ammunition not cloned on the civilian market. If I recall it shot a 2MOA.0
