Winchester 30-30

I have a Winchester 30-30. On the barrell after the serial number it has the letters marking of AE. I was wondering the significance of this lettering. Thank you for the help.

  My friend inherited a Winchester 30-30. It is a model 94 in fair condition. Could anyone tell me the age or approxiamate value of this gun. The serial number is 3860xxx. Thank you.

  Yes, the AE does mean Angle Eject ... this is a very nice improvement on the 94, and makes it possible to very nicely mount a scope. Handy for light gathering and for older eyes like mine!
