Cabela's mags

Does anyone know what brand of magazines does Cabela's sell for the mini 14. In the 2003 Shooting catalog on pg 102 all the accessories they sell are made by eagle so I assume the mags are too, are they any good. Then on pg 91 They have some that are just labeled replacement magazines, thanks in advance.

  Aren't all the Eagle mags plastic ?

  When I visited Cabelas in Minnesota late last year the mini 14 mags I saw were by western metal products. They are junk.

  Almost all of the mail order places have nothing but the crappy Mini-14 mags left. That has been the only thing they've been able to provide over the last several years. They are cheap, but then again, THEY ARE CHEAP. All the ones I've seen lately have been paper thin and not worth wasting your time on. The reason they still have any left, given it has been 8 1/2 years since the ban, is that they are poor quality and people don't re-order. So they still have some. If they were good for that price, people would buy a few and like them so much they'd order a dozen more. If that were the case, they would have sold out of them long ago.
