ar problem
Hey all, I got a problem.I was going to change the buffer in my bushmaster and got sidetracked into doing something else and figured no big deal, pulled the buffer and buffer spring and decided to just close the reciever back up and put it away until I had time to reassemble the new buffer. Low and behold I go to take down the ar at a later date and she wont seperate at the rear take down, its like the bolt is catching. Should I try taking it down from the barrel first or remove the telescopic stock? Any help would be much appreciated. Figured I would ask first before I start prying. Thanks in advance.

My son and I bought 2 parts kits today and 2 Rock River lowers.
The kits were from Model 1 sales.
We put the lowers together and my sons works okay. When I put the upper on mine the 2 pins were hard to push through.
Now the problem is when the hammer is cocked I can pull my bolt back and forth easy, if I pull the trigger I cant pull the bolt back at all and have to separate the upper and lower. If I just push 1 pin in, the bolt will work after I pull the trigger. Any idea what might be wrong? I thought about shooting it and the pressure might work the bolt or maybe break something.
Suggestions appreciated.

Well I feel like an idiot.
I was looking it over and saw the bolt did not have a firing pin or the key to hold it in. Tried another bolt and problem solved.
Go ahead and laugh I just did.
