Browning Pro-40 & Pro-9

Does anyone know anything about these pistols? How long have they been out?

  I saw these pistols for the first time at the 2003 SHOT Show. They appear to be the FN Forty-Nine pistols with the Browning name on them. Since FN Herstal owns Browning, that seems entirely possible.
  
  It is strange because the High Power is no longer marketed by Browning, and is now marketed only by FN. Why these versions of the Forty-Nine would also be sold as a Browning seems inconsistent since all other centerfire pistols are gone from the Browning line.
  
  Curious.

  Judge Colt, is tha a recent deal with Browning and center fire handguns. I just popped into Brownings website and they are still listing the High Power.
