Govt. Colt mag catch???????

Whats the trick to getting the mag release button out. I have rounded off two screw drivers trying to get the small screw on the right side loose.

  Nevermind I figured it out. Only my pride is hurt

  Press the button all the way in and hold while you turn the screw head. It will turn about a quarter turn and lock on to the safety. then you can pull the whole assembly out. Reverse the process to put it back. Be careful if try to turn it while it is out of the gun as the spring is compressed. If you turn it at that point it will take off and that little spring is hard to find as well as the locking piece. I have lost more than one of these over the years.
