SA80
does anybody know if there is a civilian version of the British SA80 available in the US? I know it is made by Enfield.

I am not aware of any semi-auto version of the Enfield SA80 ever being made. "AirSoft" non-firearms versions may be available, but that is as close as you will get. There are several "bull-pup" semi-auto .223 rifles available that would be close in appearance and function. 0 -
Boy I dream of the day I can get my hands on one of them. I so want one so bad. Thats like my dream gun. I'd luv to get one and try it using some real M16 magazine. I think thats a real downfall. I've handled a few actual english SA80 magazines, all steel with some funky followers, and i think american made mags are alot better. 0 -
The Busmaster BullPup is the original design for the SA80. Actually to be more correct the AR 180 and the Bushmaster Bullpup are the beginnings of the SA80. I do not believe the rifle its self is all that good. The sighting system they put on the rifle is excelent. My 2 cents. [8D]
