SA80

does anybody know if there is a civilian version of the British SA80 available in the US? I know it is made by Enfield.

  I am not aware of any semi-auto version of the Enfield SA80 ever being made. "AirSoft" non-firearms versions may be available, but that is as close as you will get. There are several "bull-pup" semi-auto .223 rifles available that would be close in appearance and function.

  Boy I dream of the day I can get my hands on one of them. I so want one so bad. Thats like my dream gun. I'd luv to get one and try it using some real M16 magazine. I think thats a real downfall. I've handled a few actual english SA80 magazines, all steel with some funky followers, and i think american made mags are alot better.

  The Busmaster BullPup is the original design for the SA80. Actually to be more correct the AR 180 and the Bushmaster Bullpup are the beginnings of the SA80. I do not believe the rifle its self is all that good. The sighting system they put on the rifle is excelent. My 2 cents. [8D]
