First, welcome to the forum. Your shotgun is a Swedish made gun, and is generally well made. Tell us more though. Is it a hammer gun, or hammerless? Damascus barrel, or steel? Overall condition of the bluing and the stock? All these things make a difference.

Pass on the tradition, teach a kid to shoot.

I can tell you a lot about your shotgun from the info stamped on the action and under the barrels and the serial number.

Okay, here is what I have found on this gun...

    SVENFKT
    SPECIALSTAL
    HUSQVARNA
    VAPENFABRIFKS
    991 stamped by trigger guard
    OS stamped on the wood
There is a crown stamped on the barrel

Thank you all for your help...

A very good gun, but not worth a fortune. Too new to be antique and not of a whole lot of interest to collectors.

Depending on condition, these guns seem to fall into the $500.00 range in nice condition. More if engraved nicely. Less if well used.

Thank you... That is what I needed to know. Someone my husband knew was selling this gun and I wanted to see if it was worth buying...

There is not enough info to ID the model of shotgun. Husqvarna made a lot of different model shotguns over the years that today can run in value from $250 to in excess of $10,000. I sold one about 10 years ago for over $15,000.

The underlever hammer guns have the lowest collector value, while the hammerless guns have a higher value.
