Cheap or inexpensive

Would you guys consider the Saiga .223 rifle a cheap inaccurate rifle or something worth considering for an inexpensive .223 for target/hunting.

  I would consider it both cheap and inexpensive! If you want a target/hunting rifle, consider a Rem. M700 ADL in 223. Around here, you can get them on sale for $299 and regular $349. If you want something less expensive than an ar15, get a mini-14 for $400-450. US made, durable, lots of accessories. Let Russia get pissed off over us going into Bagdad, the Korea issue, or any trade agreement and kiss the "lifetime warrenty" good bye! Watch out for us night owls, we know how to shoot in the dark!

  Just had a thread in general discussion concerning the 7.62x39 variant of this rifle. I was very inpressed with it and would recommend over a Mini14/Mini 30. [}:)][;)][}:)]

  For the price though can I really go wrong,Ive heard the action is very good . What makes me wonder is that where else can you find a new .223 semi-auto for under $250

  I don't think you could go wrong with this one. Heck it's an AK they don't break. You could pull the top cover off & pour gravel into the action & continue to fire. These guns work all the time.

  #72,if you are going to handload don't buy it.The AK type actions dent the ejected brass cutting down the amount of times you can reload it.This goes for either caliber.
