Sorry I could not open the link that you supplied. If it is not the bayonet lug band then it is the bad that holds the barrel on. That band will have a spring metel latch that is about 3 inchs long that rund along the right hand side of the ctock into the barrrel band. This latch will be raised up right before it enters under the barrel band. What I do is use a small c-clamp on the stock at the point where the latch is raised up thus depressing the latch into the stock. This allows the end of the latch to disengage from the barrel bad allowing you to remove the band. Take a small brass hammer and a piece of wood, put the wood along the edge of the band and tap wood knocking the barel band off the end of the stock. The bayonut lug band will stay on the end though. The barell band comes off over the bayonet lug band. To remove the bayonet bad you have to drive out a pin that runs through the band and stock then pull on the bayonet lug wkile wiggleing it back and forth. If this does not help send me a picture of what you want off at: jjmitchell60@msn.com

Thank you for your advice. That's what I thought I had to do. But I guess since its so old, maybe its froze up. I noticed and realaized the latch mechanism, and tried to tap the thing off, but it just wont budge.
Guess I need a bigger hammer.[;)]
