pre ban stock on post ban gun??????
Hello and thanks in advance for your help. I have a new post ban Mini 14 ranch rifle and wanted to put a folding stock on it legally. If I found a pre ban stock, can I put it on my post pan rifle and it be legal?
Thanks .........Brad

Nope, no flash suppressors, grenade launchers, or bayonets either. [:D] Sorry![;)] 0 -
As Kingjoey has already stated, you cannot legally put a folding stock on it.
You can put a pistol grip "non-folding" stock on it though. I have a Butler Creek--with the block in the folding mechanism keeping it permanently locked open--on one of my post-ban Mini-30s. Butler Creek still sells the "folding style" stocks with the mechanism blocked (and the set-screw tack-welded in place) so they are permanently open.
Maybe...in 2004 the ban will be allowed to expire...but I'm not holding my breath...0
