I need to talk with a Sav 110 deriv. 223 cal owner

What does the mag box look like? I am rebarrelling an 06 to 223 and midway only has the short action mag. It looks like the 223 mag will require some die grinder work on the lower receiver rails. I will probably just weld the 223 mag into the 06 mag box.

my older 110 I just got off GB has the adj trigger and looks like it has not been shot much. Cool !!

  The 223 mag well has a filler at the rear. I would be cautious about grinding/welding on the action. I think there are factory parts around because I have a 223 on the standard length action.

  Plus the bolt face is a different diameter. I'd rebarrel in 308 or 30.06 and save yourself a lot of risk and headache.

  I had to grind the "feed rails" app 3/8" farther forward and I cut up an '06 mag box and welded it and the 223 short action mag box together. I then put in the 223 bolt head and screwed in the 223 bbl and fiddled until the headspace was correct and tightened the nut.
