norinco 54-1

I have a norinco 54-1 in a 9mm would like to know if anyone knows of a way to change the safety over to something more usable this one is really hard to operate and Iam left handed. almost impossible to operate for me. plus need anyother info on this handgun it was a gift so don't know much about it.

  henryoreily I know what you mean about the half cock. it seems to work better then the safety anyway. have you had any problems with the gun other then the safety? I would like to shot in some local competitions,if I can find more clips as back up to my 45.

  Henryoreailly, yes I would use it in competition. no I would not remove the safety,but use the half cock. Iam looking for more clips but have not been able to find reasonably priced ones. and the other is any problems with the weapon malfunctioning that you know of rapid fire jamms or anything like that ,that I should be aware of?

  is there any place on line that might have the clips in the 9mm. every place I have checked do not handle the 9mm clip for the tokerav.
