Black powder rifle question
I have a black powder rifle I know nothing about.
on the barrel it says "JUKAR" and the word SPAIN and a serial number.
It has about a 36in. barrel with a wood forearm that goes all the way up to the end with a brass butt plate and trigger guard.
Is this a kit or real gun. NO caliber markings.
looks like a kit.. Anybody know?

Could be a kit, could not. They were made both as kits and complete guns. It is most likly 45 cal. though I have seen a few in 50 cal., very few. These guns were cheap reproductions of Ky. long rifles. The 45s usually shoot rather well being how cheaply made they were. A friend of mine bought a couple of Jukar barrels in Friendship Ind. at the NMLRA shoot and built a couple custom guns out of them for his grand sons. They shot really well and he only gave $10 a piece for the barrels. They are on the same level as CVA who also use barrels made in spain.[8D] 0
