Desert Eagle .50 made by imi Israel
I'm looking at one of these guns at a local gun shop. It has some slight wear but nothing major with 2 mags and the fancy metal case as well. What would be a good and great price for this gun?

$600 would be a good price if it were a blue, no frills model!
$600 would be a GREAT price if it were a stainless or chrome with gold accent model!

You have probably shot one, but if you've never shot a .50 Desert Eagle, I'd recommend doing so before puchase. The recoil is sharp, but worse than that is the enlarged grip size makes it hard for some people to hang on to. That said, the other posts were pretty accurate on the price, and they are fun to shoot (but expensive in .50). You definately turn heads when you are shooting any pistol like this - KABOOM!

I forgot to mention... It makes a slight price difference depending on the model. The .50 VII uses the same frame as all the current stuff so you can later add a .357, .41, or 44 barrel conversion kit. The latest version (I think it is XIXII) should bring SLIGHTLY more money with its redesigned safety, etc. If it is an earlier generation than VII, I wouldn't recommend getting it because you can't readily find conversions for it. I am not positive they made a .50 in the first generation anyway, so that may no be an issue.

bambihunter makes a good point. You will want to put the hogue rubber grips with the finger grooves on it, they help very much with recoil control.
The bullets are a problem unless you buy in bulk, and on sale.Look on www.natchezss.com and you will find speer gold dot 325gr HP 20/box for around $14.
