9mm Pistol Question
Looking to purchase a second 9mm pistol in the 300 to 400 dollar range..Thought about a Ruger P95, but I have read some posts that lead me to believe that there is a quality issue at Ruger..I have a Browning Pratical 9mm that I shoot at the range and I love it, but I am looking for a double action 9mm this time.. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

In that price range I'd have to suggest that you take a serious look at the CZ-75/85. These also use the Browning action so you'll feel quite comfortable when the time comes to strip and reassemble it. For the money I think these are an excellent value. I own three myself- a 75, an 85, and a .22 caliber Kadet.

European American Armory (EAA) sells the Witness (a copy of the CZ75) in that price range. Fit and finish look pretty good. Pick up a copy of Shotgun News and you will see them for sale. 0 -
In that price range you might consider a S&W 5906, there are lots of trade ins still out there and a decent 9mm for the money. 0 -
I would go with the Witness line of fire arms. They are very good and I have heard nothing bad ablut them. For the money and reliablity I would go this route. My 2 cents

I agree with the CZ & Witness suggestion. Both of these still have readilly available lowcost factory hicaps. My roommate has a Tanfollio Witness in 9mm which he loves. The CZ 75's are nice too. Most come with one hicap. Good luck finding factory hi-caps cheap for anything made by ruger.

I have owned and still own, many rugers, and have never found any thing wrong with any of them. If you don't like the P95, ruger also makes the p89 which is slightly bigger. Rugers makes good guns for a price new around $300-$350 new. High cap mags (not factory) are very cheap for the rugers as well.

I've got a Taurus PT908 that I just love. Never had a problem with it and have put 1000+ rounds through it.
Can you substitute Cross-Hairs for lost hair? Bald is beautiful0 -
don't forget the kel-tec
I fired 100 plus rounds thru mine yesterday and was well pleased with its preformance and not to mention not a single jam
Its really hard to soar with the Eagles, when you are stuck with turkeys!0 -
Found a Taurus at a gun show....PT-92 w/ 4 hi-cap mags for 450.00.
Gun feels good in hand after I added Pachmyers.0 -
See if you can find a used Beretta or SIG. Very frequently you can locate one for under $500, maybe one that's a little scuffy or a refurb. Better to spend a few bucks more and get something you'll really enjoy.
