Unusual Drum Magazine

While continueing to rummage thru my deceased father's belongings I came across this strange drum magazine. It fits a Colt .45 automatic! The markings are: TAYLOR MK.I.45 Patent pending, BINGHAM LTD, ATLANTA. On the rear it says Wind 8 to 10 clicks. Appears to have a screw missing on the winding crank, do not know the capacity. I did not know any such thing existed. Anyone else seen one of these?
