ROMAINIAN .22 RIFLE?
GANDER MOUNTAIN HAS A FEW OF THESE $69.00 .22 RIFLES. I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE FOR THE KIDS TO RE-FINISH AND SHOOT. DO ANY OF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE GEMS? OR SHOULD I JUST GO WITH A "NAME-BRAND" FIXER-UPPER?

I bought two of them, they are well built and excellant shooters.A friend bought one he liked mine so much, and sanded it down and several people came to the conclusion the stock is Romanian Maple. He stained and varnished it and made a good looking Rifle. But everyone Ive seen shoots excellant.I would recommend buying a spare Mag just in case you ever need it.Good Luck!!

I have been pleased with mine. I put a 4x scope on mine and have been pleased with the accuracy. The trigger could stand a little work. Where else can you find an all steel and wood .22 rifle for this kind of money. A friend bought one for his 7 year old son and cut the stock down to fit him. 0 -
I owned two of these and found them to be excellent values. They will feed and fire just about anything you can force into the chamber and the accuracy was pretty good as well. I cleaned one rifle up a little and sold it to a friend and I donated the other to a local group that teaches firearms safety to children. No complaints about these rifles that I've ever heard. For the price, I say you can't go wrong.
