Hoban 22 cal. rifle

I would like to know the history and value if any for a 22 cal single shot Hoban Rifle. Can't find any thing in my books.

Real strange situation regarding the HOBAN rifle your asking about? The company was located in Salem Michigan and started making .22 rifles, after W W II. They made (2) models #45 a bolt action and #110 a M1 carbine lookalike. Supposedly the company was in business for a number of years,but there's almost no reference material available from the usual sources?
No production figures, no pictures etc. It's hard to give you a price estimate, without something to base it on?

Info from Jim Perkins' book reveals that John Hoban purchased Hamilton's boys' rifle machinery in June 1945 and moved it to Salem, Mass. He was only able to manufacture the Model 45 (which is the M1 Carbine look-alike in single shot). Numbers unknown. In 1949 he became ill and his equip was subsequently sold to a German mnaufacturer who imported them through United Arms Co. with only a few of these produced. I recently purchased a German model to pair with my Hoban. They're exact duplicates. I paid $220 for it on the "other" site. My Hoban 45 was purchased a few years back in the orignal box and 95% for $185. I've seen them at shows for $55 (poor) to $250 (excellent).
