Briggs City Shotgun?? info needed
Have a friend with a shotgun with name Briggs city on the side single shot 12 ga. top break model 1865 made in 1869 any info on this anyone ?? I cant seem to find any thing on it Thanks Lephus

I can find No BRIGGS CITY listed in my Database or Publications in my Libruary...I show a Joseph Briggs of Ithaca, N.Y., Percussion period.
which is 1836 to late 1850's and a William Briggs of Norristown, Pa., 1848-50....
Take a look under the Breechend of the Barrel and see if there is an OVAL with the letters E over LG in its center..! If there is...then its a Belguim Knockdown...It Not...? Then it will be up to someone with more resources than I have on this particular Gun...
