I am contemplating a 1911 style pistol to purchase. i have read a little on the subject and am very curious about the Charles Daly pistols. They seem to be a high Quality firearm but are not as expensive as other 1911s with the same features. Is it an inferior product, or an inexpensive one.
Yeah I can make it....0 -
I'll give you my expert opinion on Charles Daily.
I bought one of those Charles Daily semi-auto 12ga shotguns from Galyns for $250 a couple of years ago. I shot a couple of rounds of Trap with it & it seemed to work fine (loading 1 in the chamber manually).
Took it pheasent hunting and realized that the gun wouldn't feed off of the magazine, it actually double feeded to the point where it became a single shot. I sold it off as soon as I got back from the hunt.
Based on that experience I'd pass on anything made by Charles Daily. Put it this way, I'll never buy one of their products again.

I have a 1911 the first issue that they made to replace the military colt. I have shot it in matches and shoot it constantly for the past 3 years and have had little or no problems at all. just the usual trigger work and the new main springs. but other then that it is a great firearm. I really love the ambidecsterous safety , Iam left handed. In my opinion grood weapon for the money. 45 0 -
Had one of their 1911's. Jammed every couple rounds. Bought a different brand mag. Still jammmed. Sent back for repairs. After 3 months got it back . Guess what? Still jammed. I would pass if I were you. my .02. 0 -
A really good 1911 is something you can get for about $500 to $600 and might outlast you. Why bother with something low grade?
