MAUSER 7MM MAG SMALL RING ??????

OK, GENT HERES A QUESTION. I WAS ON EBAY AND SAW A SELLERS ADE. FOR A 7MM MAG BARREL FOR A SMALLRING MAUSER. EVERYTHING I WAS TOUGHT AND READ SENT OFF ALARMS. I E-MAILED HIM AND TOLD HIM OF THE DANGERS EVEN WITH A LONG SMALLRING (WITCH HE BROUGHT UP) OF THE M91 AT .725"L TO .830"L. I STILL THINK I'M RIGHT AND THERE NO WAY I'M PUTTIN MY MUG BEHIND THAT. WHAT DO YA'LL THINK? THANKS SWEDGER

  I agree. Not a good idea to barrel a small ring Mauser to a 7mm Mag.

  i beg to differ, there are several m-98 mauser actions with 'small' threads. would i put this barrel on a m-92/3/4/5/6 action NO!

  I would think it to be fine in one of the large ring, small thread turkish rifles.

  If you are using a Turk action you have a large ring action with small ring threads, equals more steel in the receiver ring. Should work without problems "but" I prefer to use newer magnum actions with the belted magnums.....I'm a sissy

  7mm Mag in a small ring is a recipe for disaster.
