Picked up .177 pellet gun, looks like AK has folding stock, side pump lever. very heavy, all steel barrell & wood furniture. Looks like marking is WJE Made in China. Anyone know anything about these. Thank You!!!! e-mail kenandnel@webtv.net

  I know EAA was bringing in Russian .177 pellet guns with the exact specs as the one your talking about. They were selling for $75.00 to $90.00.

  These Chinese air rifles are pretty common. I've seen the AK types for many years in both side folding and under folding versions. There are a number of importers and dozens of companies selling these. I'm looking at a listing for an under folder right now marketed as the Tech Force 6- IMPROVED (it would have to be improved, you can't fall off the floor!). List price is $79.95, "Special price" $62.86, and if you can stand to have five of these laying around your house you can get them for $49.95 each.
  
  The Russian versions of these air rifles are decent guns, but I have never seen ANY Chicom air rifle that I thought was worth even the modest money they cost. Most seem to be trouble prone, not too accurate, and often down right dangerous to the users based on stories I've heard of the cocking lever snapping closed unexpectedly.
  These are only my opinions and others may love Chinese air rifles.
