SHIPPING a rifle...

I need some help. I need to find out where is the best place to get a box to fit the size of a Long gun (model 100 Winchester)...and can you tell me the procedure for shipping...can it go thru the post office, shipped 3day or does it have to go over night to the FFL Dealer?...etc....where can it be mailed at....and what is the best way of packing?

  Depending on where you are shipping the rifle, you will most likely have to go through an FFL. If you talk to him, he can most likely get you a shipping box and tell you how it should be packed. He can also inform you as to the best way to ship.

  Roadlizard is right. Depending on where you live. In Texas you can go to a Mailboxes Etc. or another type of shipping center and ship it from there. You can even pay them to box it up for you. You must ship it to a licensed FFL dealer. You should have a copy of his/her FFL before you ship it. Good luck.
