Weatherby Olympian O/U Recoil Pad - Removal?

Recoil pads will generally have two screws holding them onto the wood stock. It will be hard to find the heads of the screws as the rubber slit to the screw heads is a very small slit. When you discover this slit the next problem will be to determine wheather the screw is slot or phillips. A little silicone on the screwdriver shaft will keep the shaft from tearing up the pad when removing the two screws.
    Good luck!

I have no idea but Alpine's suggestion sounds valid.
You may contact: Greg King, Gunsmith Shop Supervisor

    Tel. No. (805) 466-1558
    Fax (805) 466-5095

Greg is a nice person and, if possible, answer your question. This is the repair and refinish division of the Co. Told me that he had over two thousand guns a year for repair. They do no wood work but sublet it out. Makes you wonder about the quality and durability....101
