Savage .410 Double
I am offered a NIB .410 Savage Double Barrel for $500. Seems a bit much for a gun of that quality. It is as-new, never fired, NIB with box. What think?

The prices on these have really sky rocketed in the last few years. $500 is the highest I have seen. I did see one sell for $400. I have seen several showing some wear go for $250 to $300. NIB is worth a premium but I don't think I could go $500 comfortably.
I got mine for $175 but it shows some use. I should reifnsh it and sell it for some $$$:)
You should be able to do a search on GB completed auctions for these.

$400-500 is the going price!!! If you can wheel and deal for $450 NIB, I don't think you will loose anything. However it is a lot of money for that quality of gun. I think it's something you really have to want to spend that much. If the trend keeps pace you could make money off it in a couple years. 0 -
Thanks for your opinions. You have confirmed pretty much what I thought. I'd like to have one in nice condition but to pay a couple for NIB is a bit too rich... Thanks again. 0 -
On the Savage 311 the quality may not be considered tops but to build the gun today would cost well over $600 there's always a premium for a .410 They really are a decent gun that the Blue Book has woefully underpriced! In northern Illinois the 311 always sell quickly and lately they ask over $4oo!! 0
