armenius 32 s&w long?
I have been handed down this gun and i dont know the first thing about it can anyone give me some info on this?(value,etc...) i dont even know if that's the correct spelling but i know it is a german made revolver, its chrome, serial # 301xxx, bought in late 1960's, and that it doesn't look like much of a gun at all. I was just curious about it since it was my fathers first handgun and then gave it to me, just want to know what i'm looking at! as always any info is much appreciated. thanks.

According to S. Fjestad's Blue Book of Gun Values, Arminius handguns were made in Germany from the 1920's until the mid-1970's. I owned a blued .32 many years ago, & thought it's quality was fair. Not very pretty, & there was little point in owning a gun that large for such an underpowered cartridge. They're not seen that often, but there's little collector interest. I would guess that it would sell in the $75-125 range.

There is the ARMINIUS By Herman Weihrauch Sportwaffenfabrik, Mellrichstadt/Bayern, West Germany before 1968...and then theres the
ARMINIUS by Friedrich Pickert, Zella-Mehlis, Germany 1922 to 1939...
Both made Revolvers...Can You be more specific about what You have?
I'm endeavoring to work with the date given...but can't give an answer unless I know just which Arminius You have........

Got this link off Bob Adams web-site. Believe it's similar to the revolver bought by your dad in the 60's.
As the other posters related it was manufactured by Weihrauch in West Germany in the 60's, under the "ARMINIUS" name. Didn't sell for a lot of money back then. Worth probably between $100 to $200 now.
Last I heard Weihrauch was still in business, selling his revolvers as WINDACATORS? through European American Armory.
